We start the second quarter with Little Animals
The 2nd grade students received a very special visit this first week of the year.
We have started the topic of vertebrate animals, and there is nothing better to get to know them well than seeing and touching them.
Xenia brought us two reptiles and two mammals. We talked about the characteristics of birds, fish and amphibians and we were able to see that we are on the right track with what we have learned.
We were able to handle and touch the different animals with great care and respect: The lizard Gueco, the Florida turtle, the chinchilla and even Neus, a rabbit. They were all very playful and let us observe them up close!
During the following media sessions, we will delve deeper into the characteristics of each of the vertebrate groups.
