Hybrid learning

The educational model of the College Pare Damián SS.CC. is defined as a dynamic, innovative and competitive project with respect to the immediate environment that starts from a document of a congregational nature and that defines the SSCC student profile.

The aim of our teaching is to define a differentiating educational model in which our students not only integrate the skills set by the law, but also those set by the profile. Our project emphasizes a teaching model based on motivation, cooperation and the formation of critical thinking to enhance a meaningful learning, diversified and authentic.

Our educational philosophy starts from the need to give a competence approach to achieve personal and social goals in terms of growth and education, in short, today's society pushes us to train students who are more engaged with society and with the ability to generate questions and answer - them independently.

We are supporters of one hybrid learning model that takes the best of each system. The more traditional classes are combined with more innovative sessions that encourage an active role of the student through cooperative learning, multiple intelligences, the culture of thinking, emotional intelligence and creativity.

The VOICE project

Since the 2020-21 academic year we have been immersed in the VEUS project, a project that aims to offer our students different types of learning experiences, that is to say, different means that allow them to learn and build themselves as people in all areas of their personal growth. 

For the VOICES project, we listened to the voice of the students, the protagonists of learning, the voice of the teachers, examples to follow and guides in education, the voice of the families, participants in the project and in the life of the center and the voice of the community to be able to live connected with the present. In our project, all the voices of those who are part of our educational community are important and essential. 

VOICE means to educate beyond the curriculum and the academic field. It means accompanying students in their personal growth so that they develop their personal skills. With this project we want our students to get to know themselves better, to never get tired of continuing to learn and to enjoy what they are doing at all times, whether in the school itself or in the different environments they will find out  

We don't know what the world our students will find themselves in will be like, but we are clear that in this world it will be important for everyone to identify what it is like, what they are their talents, his dreams and how he wants the society we are part of to be. It is essential that this reflection is accompanied by the ability to adapt to changes, to transform challenges into opportunities, and above all to become an active, involved and responsible agent who analyzes the environment to make it better while following the committed model of Jesus.

The CIM experiences

The Voices project takes shape in the CIM experiences, an educational program that is based on the growth staff, the Interdisciplinarity and the motivation. The e-CIM changes the subjects for learning experiences in the classroom, putting the content that marks the curriculum at the service of intensive work on skills and that makes our children and young people achieve strategies to continue learning and give the best of themselves in every situation.

In this sense, the personal and spiritual accompaniment and the atmosphere of closeness and familiarity that characterizes us will be one of the key axes to achieve this goal. The citizens of tomorrow are the students of today. For this reason, in our classrooms, from a welcoming and familiar atmosphere, we will work to develop these personal, intellectual, social and spiritual skills from the trust and esteem that characterize us.
