Christmas charity campaign
This year, the school has decided to give to Sant Egidi what the older students of the school contribute. This is a religious community located in the city of Barcelona. It is known for the number of solidarity projects they carry out dedicated to those who need it most, whether they are people living on the streets, without financial resources or children and young people who are unable to study due to the conditions in which they live.
The aim of Sant Egidio for Christmas is to help those most in need so that on December 25th they have where and with whom to celebrate this special day of the year, with a great Christmas lunch. Thanks to our collection of clothes and warm clothes, which is what the High School students have taken care of, we will make them a little happier and they will start 2019 with a big smile. We hope that this makes them see their future with more hope and positivity. No one deserves what they have to go through every day of the year.
The rest of the courses have also participated in the campaign, for the benefit of other entities such as parishes in need: Més Humans (a project created by young people with the aim of improving the situation of people in situations of social exclusion), Fundació Joan Salvador Gavina (for children without resources), CEDRE association (for young people in prisons and immigrants) and Càritas Diocesana de Barcelona.
Thus, together we give life, collaborate and get involved in a fact that seems fundamental to us: enable the growth of our faith and help those who need it most.
From the school we always thank you for your participation in the different campaigns that we organize. In this way, those who need it most can also feel the warmth that we send them from Padre Damián.
We wish you a very Happy Holidays!
María Olivé Lorenzo, 1st year high school student
