Father Fernando Cordero, elected General Councilor of the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts

The Father Fernando Cordero has been elected General Counselor of the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts and, after sharing four school years with us, he embarks on a new path in Rome. The councilors have been chosen in this order: Fernando Cordero (Iberia), Derek Laverty (Ireland-England), Jean Blaise Mwanda (Africa) and Thomas Sukotriraharjo (Indonesia). All of them will accompany the new Superior General, Alberto Toutin, from Chile.

Many THANKS Fernando for your presence these years. You have brought us closer to the Church, to the media, to the lives of the Saints, to books and you have transmitted to us the SSCC CHARISMA through the CHOIR. We are very happy for you, since you have been chosen by your brothers to represent the Congregation throughout the world, but we will miss you very much.

We also thank you for Father Raul Valverde who has replaced Father Fernando at the school. In the few days he has been at the school we have already had the pleasure of enjoying his presence and his history as a missionary in Africa and the Philippines for more than 20 years. We continue to work together from the heart.
