The 1st grade students are starting in the garden! As you know, we are part of the “More sustainable schools"And among other activities, the students take care of the school garden, plant seedlings and when the vegetables have grown, they harvest them and take them home."

On Thursday, October 18, the first grade boys and girls went to theVidal-Quadras orchard. There they helped in the vegetable garden Sisters of the Assumption.

First they learned about the fruits and vegetables they grow, the time they are planted and how long they take to grow.

After breakfast, it was time to get to work! In groups of 10, they pulled weeds, harvested watermelons, peppers, leeks, zucchini, tutored tomatoes... A very entertaining morning and learned a lot about the work of farmers!
