Kindergarten students leave for cohabitation
Next week the older kindergarten students are going on a party! They are so excited to spend a night away from home with their friends.
Some parents, you wonder... because we do them or what need is there for them to go outside when they are so young...?
Close your eyes and for a moment put yourself in your child's shoes. WHAT DID YOU FEEL? Nerves? Emotion? Excitement? Fear? Insecurity?… Close your eyes again and think about the rest of your classmates and the teachers… WHAT DID YOU FEEL THIS TIME? Joy? Did a smile escape you?… Going together for your children is quite a challenge because many emotions are at stake.
Nerves, insecurity, fear… are completely normal feelings since it is a new experience. They are very aware that they will have to do things for themselves and be responsibleAll of this will help them foster their personal autonomy.
Discovering what it's like to go on a date will give them the security to be able to go more often, but for now everything is unknown and this is where the questions that are often asked arise, such as: what if I can't sleep? What if I wake up? What if I'm scared? These are challenges, fears, that they will overcome. since being in a different environment, with peers who feel the same way, will help them in their personal growth.
Getting out of the routine, the day-to-day of the classroom, finding ourselves in a natural environment and being in contact with it, promotes the innate curiosity of children.
They learn new things, maintaining an attitude of respect for the environment and nature. Being in contact with it gives us a feeling of freedom, of taking risks... and all this with good support behind them, which they feel from their peers, tutors and monitors. It is incredible how these feelings cause great group cohesion.
Going on a date is opening windows to other possibilities, to another type of learning, to being more responsible and to taking wings to fly!
