The school, present at the First Lego League 2019

This past Saturday, February 16, the first qualifying tournament of the First Lego League 2019 at La Salle, Ramon Llull University. The team of PDSSCC formed by David Naval, Jordi Garcia, Adán Domínguez and Adrià Mendiara We had been preparing for this event for a few months, but we were still nervous, as it was the first time that both the students and the coach had participated.

Shortly after the opening ceremony we had a short training session before starting the first round of the “robot game.” In this first round we achieved the maximum points we were aiming for, so we were able to relax for the rest of the event.

Shortly after, we presented our science project, which dealt with the possibility of planting potatoes on Mars, and then we explained the values we had worked on in class and the construction process of our robot and its programming.

During the rest of the event we were talking to other teams, watching their robots in action and analyzing the different strategies employed by the other groups.

In conclusion, we had a great time, and we were very satisfied with the fourth position in the robot game ranking. And most importantly, we learned a lot of things that we didn't know and that we will apply in future calls.
