Alba Mission: Scientific Challenge at the Synchrotron
“Things happen in the world that go unnoticed by our eyes. And only science is capable of showing them to us”
The 5th and 6th grade students have embarked on an adventure into the unknown. An experience that will definitively change their vision of the world and science.
The Mission Alba is divided into four stages: Matter, Force, Energy and Light. Each month, and until May, one of the courses is responsible for carrying out an experiment with the tutor. They develop hypotheses and, through observation, must reach conclusions. And choose which solution is the correct one from the two possible options, justifying why they think that one is the correct one.
Through an online platform where more than 100 schools across Catalonia are registered, they are completing the experiments. If they get it all right, there are various rewards and as a final prize, the school will enter a draw to receive a visit from a researcher in the classroom.
