Why do we do Yoga at school?

The reality in which we live leads us all to live in constant movement, surrounded by stimuli that make us react immediately and that make our mind and body always alert, this is one of the reasons why at school we decided to incorporate the yoga in our classrooms.

Understanding this as a comprehensive practice where the body the mind and the reflection (spirituality) come together to give way to many benefits that help us in our day to day lives.

We have found that by controlling our breathing, we are able to concentrate, calm down, focus, change our mood and stay present in every moment, being in the here and now. If we are able to control the breathing, we will be able to control our mind.

 

And starting from here and exercising our body we provide other physical benefits such as flexibility, coordination, strength, we activate the immune system, etc... in short we feel good and this makes us face life from a more positive perspective. positive.

There are so many benefits that we find in the application of this holistic practice, which is not only integrated into the classroom, but teachers and parents practice yoga weekly with a specialist to be able to enjoy this discipline and take care of ourselves to be able to give our students and our environment the best of us.
