Music school

Musical education becomes one of the benchmarks of our educational project, as it allows the creativity of our students to be enhanced, as well as the improvement of motor, cognitive, intellectual and personal functions. For us, music is the possibility of emphasizing talent, cooperation, self-confidence and improvement from a universal language that links culture and sensibility.

We understand the teaching of music as an experiential experience of enjoyment that allows us to work on creativity and teach our students to enjoy art in all its manifestations.

Own music program in which students learn musical language, choral singing, creativity, improvisation and dance.

Thanks to the agreement with the Liceu Conservatory, we offer a high-quality music curriculum, with the possibility of taking conservatory music studies within the school with personalized itineraries adapted to each student's talent.

To do this, we have developed a music curriculum structured and complete that works in parallel with the teaching of the general education regime and allows our students to carry out an official musical learning of the conservatory during school hours.

All students who wish to, can take conservatory music studies at the school, from 1st grade to 4th grade.

All 1st and 2nd grade students follow the music studies program of the Liceu conservatory with teachers trained in the program and with the possibility of taking the official exams at the school to obtain the official certifications. From the 3rd grade onwards, students decide which branch of musical studies they want to continue with: curricular music or official Liceu music.

From kindergarten to 6th grade we have a range of complementary activities that revolve around music.

Early childhood education: Music and movement: introduction to choral singing, percussion, musical language and dance.

Primary education: Dance and theater. The students in the upper primary years prepare an artistic project each year in which theater, music and artistic expression are involved. As part of this experiential education, the students also take part in the Cantània, an artistic activity organized by the Auditorium in which schools from the territory participate and which is led by renowned Catalan writers and composers.

Possibility to study music, musical language, choral singing and instruments without the need to appear for official certifications, respecting the progress of each student and with personalized itineraries.

We offer extracurricular violin, piano and guitar lessons.

As part of the Liceu music program and complementary music, students take part in external competitions such as the Young Composers competition organized by the Liceu Conservatory, the Cantata organized by the Palau de la Música and the Cantània organized by the Auditorium.

In this way, we bring the students closer to the institutions of the cultural fabric of the territory and work on talent, creativity and the values of constancy, effort and self-confidence from a cooperation perspective that allows them to create cultural ties and emotional

Music is a transversal activity that participates in center projects by offering experiential workshops and musical activities that complement the pedagogical action and allows us to develop complete and transversal educational scenarios.

At the end of the school year, students take part in musical concerts and auditions open to families and also take part in the Solidarity Concert organized by the Padre Damián Foundation with the aim of raising funds for the Tondisa Ebale solidarity project, a popular training center that has the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts in Kinshasha, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
