Theatrical performance aimed at students in 2nd year of Baccalaureate of the play by Mercè Rodoreda "Broken Mirror"

On January 28th, the 2nd year high school students went to see a theatrical adaptation of the play by Mercè Rodoreda, Broken Mirror. This is a very significant work for students, as it is content ofexam at the PAU.

Broken Mirror is a novel divided into three parts, which tells the story of the Valldaura-Farriols family. It is a novel where you gradually get to know the characters with visions of their past while seeing their actions in the present.

The theatrical adaptation of Mirall Trencat was very different from the structure of any other play. It was performed by only two actresses, with the roles of Teresa and Armanda, who through a dialogue, remember, with a photo album, all the moments they have lived. They talk about everything, from the happiest moments to the saddest moments. Unfortunately, Teresa ends up dying, leaving Armanda alone to narrate her ending.

But the visit to the Sant Andreu theater It didn't end there. The students had the opportunity to participate in a discussion with the actresses to clarify any doubts regarding the novel and also to have a debate together with students from other schools. A very good opportunity, since the actresses knew the novel perfectly and this allowed them expand your knowledge about Broken Mirror and also about Mercè Rodoreda.
