Multilingual school
Educate in Plurality:
Linguistic and Cultural Competencies
Discover how our school promotes multilingual and intercultural learning through innovative methodologies and programs that will prepare our students for a globalized world.
Our school is committed to a multilingual model that helps the development of linguistic and communicative competence in foreign languages. This competence is fundamental for the academic and working future of our students, and this prompts us to carry out various educational actions that allow this.
All this work culminates in our profile of the SSCC student, in the aspect of the intercultural dimension. This student:
- He has a good level of foreign languages
- He is capable and motivated to study and work abroad
- Appreciate and learn from the culture of other countries
- Value the culture of effort
- He feels like a citizen of the world
The methodology AICLE it allows the integration of a second language as a communication tool in the classroom and becomes the vehicle for the integration of the contents of the subjects. English is integrated into the students' everyday life in the most natural way possible. Tales in Early Childhood Education, Science Lab in Primary Education or History and Geography in ESO are just a few examples.
The methodology AMCO facilitates immersive learning through the use of innovative technology and methodologies that reinforce meaningful learning from multiple intelligences.
This methodology is studied from P3 to 2nd ESO.
We incorporate in the day to day the presence of native teachers who help to practice oral English in the classroom. In this way, the students' expression, pronunciation, fluency and confidence are perfected.
Learning French as a second foreign language is offered from the 5th year of Primary Education and continues until High School. ESO students have the possibility to participate in a linguistic and cultural exchange with French students from Caen.
The participation of our students in external competitions motivates them and opens up possibilities, while promoting talents and educational excellence.
Spelling Bee and Flash Fiction Contest in Primary Education and the Short Story NLK or American Dream in ESO and High School, would be some examples.
From the school we make it easy for students to study a term or a year abroad and we offer the possibility of traveling to Rome and an exchange with France.
A wide range of after-school courses in French and English are offered for all courses with flexible timetables.
